Importing and mapping leads into LeadExec is a great way to submit a large number of leads into the system or to import a group of leads that you cannot have sent through typical automation or distribution.
First, you have to configure your file for importing. LeadExec will only accept Excel files in 97/2003 format. It will also cap a spreadsheet at a maximum of 64,000 rows.
LeadExec has an auto-mapping system that will create headers and match fields to assist in connecting the date from your sheet to your lead type.
When creating your import file, we recommend generating posting instructions to assist in creating your spreadsheet.
Once you have your import sheet configured, it is time to upload and import the file.
Go to the Lead Sources tab in your LeadExec system and choose the Import Files option on the left side menu.
Now you can choose the Lead Source in the drop down menu.
Once you choose your Leas Source, you can now browse for the file you want to upload
Click the upload button and you should now see your file in the list. It should load in under the status "Awaiting Mapping".
Now you can Map your uploaded list. Start by clicking your desired list and then clicking the "Start Mapping" button.
Once the "File Upload Mapping Utility" menu opens, select and enter the information as needed. Note: Under the Bad Rows option, we recommend keeping the setting on Notify to assist in determining any fields that may not be formatted correctly as LeadExec starts to map your file.
Once completed, it should resemble this:
Now click the Next button and you will go to step 2 where you can map the headers that LeadExec will import. Make sure the Lead Field matches the Field Mapping as closely as possible, or is entered as Do Not Import.
Step 3 will involve going through your field mappings and trying to best fit the information that has been imported to the information needed for the lead type. Match as close as you can for best results.
Click to finish and your lead will be imported! You can check to see if your lead imported successfully by going to the Leads tab and searching for that lead under the correct lead type and date for the upload.
